These terms govern the use of the Jobrope site and all services we provide. By using this site and our services, you agree to abide by these terms.
User Accounts
There is an account creation process that allows users of the site to create their own accounts with the Jobrope platform. All users will be responsible for ensuring that the information provided during account setup is accurate and secure.
Definitions
- “Jobrope,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to the operators of the website.
- “User,” “you,” or “your” refers to any individual or entity accessing the Service, including Candidates, Employers, and Freelancers.
- “Candidates” refers to users seeking employment or freelance opportunities.
- “Employers” refers to users or companies seeking to hire staff or engage freelancers.
- “Content” refers to text, graphics, images, resumes, job postings, and other materials uploaded to the Service.
Job Listings
Any job posted by an employer on the Jobrope platform will be the sole responsibility of that employer. Each employer is responsible for ensuring their job posting contains accurate information. Jobrope does not guarantee or warrant that each job posting is accurate.
Clients and Freelancer Services (Task Posting)
Clients are responsible for the details of the tasks they post and the selection of the freelancers they hire. Before engaging a professional, clients should thoroughly review the freelancer’s profile and portfolio.
Client Responsibility: Clients are solely responsible for the accuracy of their task descriptions and the requirements for the services they seek. By posting a task, the Client guarantees they have the authority to commission the work and the intent to compensate the freelancer upon successful completion as described.
Client Due Diligence: Jobrope provides a platform for connection but does not vet every individual freelancer. It is the Client’s responsibility to review a freelancer’s profile, portfolio, and ratings thoroughly before hiring or making any payments. Jobrope is not liable for any dissatisfaction arising from a freelancer’s work.
Fees And Payments
- All fees are clearly stated at the point of purchase. Payments are processed through third-party providers.
- Jobrope charges a 15% commission on the total project value for Freelancer Services. This fee is applicable upon the successful and satisfactory completion of the services as agreed between the Client and the Freelancer.
Example: If a Client posts a micro-job like “Mobile App Developer (iOS & Android)” for $1000 and hires a freelancer, a 15% fee ($150) goes to Jobrope. The remaining $850 is paid to the freelancer upon completion of the service.
No Guarantee Of Employment
Jobrope acts as a venue for connection. We do not:
- Guarantee that an Employer will fill a position or that a Candidate will find a job.
- Screen or censor every listing. We are not involved in the actual transaction between Employers and Candidates.
- Take responsibility for the quality, safety, or legality of the jobs or resumes posted.
Eligibility And Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use this Service.
To access certain features (e.g., posting jobs, submitting resumes), you must register for an account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activities or actions under your account.
Termination
Prohibited activities include:
- Post any content that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, or violates the rights of others.
- Post inaccurate, false, or misleading information (including fake job postings or fraudulent resumes).
- Uploading material that may be harmful or illegal.
- Attempting to gain access to the personal accounts or information of another user.
- “Scrape” or crawl the website to extract data for commercial purposes without our written consent.
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to solicit others to perform illegal acts.
- Attempt to bypass any security measures of the platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates our terms of use.
Changes to Terms
Jobrope reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without notice. By continuing to use the Jobrope platform after such modification, you will be deemed to have accepted the modified terms.
