These guidelines establish basic rules on how employers and candidates use JobRope responsibly and effectively. By accessing our platform, all users agree to adhere to these community standards.

Employer Guidelines

Employers must maintain high professional standards when posting job openings and interacting with job seekers:

  • Provide Accurate Job Information: When creating job postings, employers must ensure all statements are clear, truthful, and complete. Postings must include:
    • Accurate job title
    • Comprehensive job description
    • Minimum qualifications and required skills
    • Job location (remote, hybrid, or on-site)
    • Employment type (full-time, part-time, contract)
  • Maintain Professional Communication: Employers are expected to communicate respectfully with candidates. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct of any kind is strictly prohibited.
  • Respect Candidate Privacy: Personal data (such as resumes, phone numbers, and email addresses) obtained through JobRope must be used exclusively for recruitment purposes and cannot be shared or sold to third parties.
  • Non-Discrimination Policy: Job listings must comply with all applicable labor laws. Postings must not contain discriminatory language based on race, gender, religion, national origin, disability, age, or sexual orientation.
  • Legitimate Opportunities Only: All listings must represent genuine, active employment or contracting opportunities. JobRope strictly prohibits fraudulent, deceptive, or multi-level marketing positions.
  • Accurate Company Profiles: Employers must keep their public company profiles updated with accurate contact details and business descriptions.

Candidate & Professional Profile Guidelines

Candidates and job seekers must maintain integrity when creating public profiles and applying for positions:

  • Complete & Accurate Profiles: Candidates should create thorough profiles that reflect genuine experience, including accurate skill sets, work history, educational background, and portfolio samples.
  • Truthful Qualifications: Misrepresenting skill levels, work history, or academic achievements is prohibited.
  • Professional Conduct: Candidates must maintain respectful and professional communication with employers during application and interview processes.
  • Intellectual Property Respect: Portfolio samples and work credentials uploaded to candidate profiles must be original work or work for which the candidate holds proper distribution rights.
  • Account Integrity: Candidates must not create duplicate accounts, impersonate others, or upload fraudulent resume documents.

Job Posting Rules

To keep the JobRope platform safe and professional, every job listing posted on the platform must adhere to the following strict standards:

  • Real Employment Opportunities: Every listing must be a legitimate opportunity. Spam postings, fake listings, and promotional advertisements disguised as jobs will be removed immediately.
  • No Fees Required from Applicants: Employers must never request money or payment from candidates to submit applications, complete interviews, receive training, or purchase equipment.
  • Accurate Job Titles: Job titles must accurately reflect the duties and level of the role. Clickbait or deceptive titles used to artificially inflate applicant volume are strictly prohibited.
  • Prohibited Content: Job listings must not contain:
    • Illegal activities or unlicensed services
    • Explicit adult or sexual content
    • Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing (MLM), or matrix programs
    • Requests for sensitive financial or personal identification numbers prior to an official job offer

Platform Enforcement

JobRope reserves the right to:

  • Remove any job listing or candidate profile that violates these guidelines.
  • Edit listing categories or tags for proper organization and search functionality.
  • Temporarily suspend or permanently terminate user accounts engaging in fraudulent activity, spamming, or terms violations without prior notice.
