Employer Guidelines
These guidelines provide companies basic rules on how to use Jobrope responsibly and effectively when posting jobs and hiring candidates.
Provide Accurate Job Information
When listing jobs, employers must make their statements clear and truthful including the following key points:
- Job title
- Job description
- Required qualifications
- Job location
- Salary or compensation (if applicable)
- Employment type
Incomplete or misleading information in this job listing may lead to its removal.
Maintain Professional Communication
Employers need to be polite and professional with candidates. Any kind of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate treatment of candidates or any other journalists is never acceptable.
Respect Candidate Privacy
Employers should use candidate information solely for recruitment purposes. Storage of personal data (such as resumes, phone numbers or emails) cannot be shared with third parties without the consent of said individuals.
Job Listings Cannot Be Discriminatory
Employers are prohibited from placing discriminatory language on job posts/ads. Job post/ads must not contain language/non-compliance to Federal/State Law-based on race, gender, religion, nationally, disability, or age.
Jobrope is for Actual Employment Opportunities
All job listings posted must contain actual employment opportunities. Jobrope will not permit any job listing that promotes any fraudulent, misleading, or illegal employment opportunity.
Respond to All Applicants
Employers are encouraged to respond as soon as possible to any applicants whose resumes/cv you review.
Ensure Your Company Profile is Accurate
Employers will keep their company profile(s) up-to-date with accurate information (i.e. company name, company description, and all contact information).
Freelancer Guidelines
Freelancers will perform all services in accordance with the following guidelines, maintain professional relations with clients, and provide the highest quality services for their clients on Jobrope.
Develop a Fully Completed Profile
Freelancers will create fully completed profiles containing credible information regarding your experience to include: Skill set and/or ability level, Portfolio or Work Product Sample, Employment Background, Service Description – will provide potential clients with insight about your capabilities and will enhance the level of trust.
Create Unambiguous Service Description
Freelancers will create clear and unambiguous service listings that will identify the service/clue main characteristics of the service: Type of service(s) performed; Price; How long service will take to perform/deliver; Broken down price(s); Limitations to service delivery (i.e. based upon location) and requirements of clients for delivery of services (i.e. must sign service agreement).
Provide High Quality Service
Freelancers will only provide service as stated in their service listing. Failure to provide the service as outlined in service listing will render service liability associated with a service will be subject to liability.
Communicate Using Professionalism
Freelancers will communicate in a professional and respectful manner to their clients.
Intellectual Property Must Be Respected
Freelancers will only use original work or materials which they own license to, for their own project completion.
Completion Deadlines Must Be Met
Freelancers shall deliver completed projects to customers on agreed-upon date unless alternative arrangements have been made.
No Fraudulent Activity
The following actions are not allowed by freelancers:
- Copying other freelancer’s work
- Misrepresenting their level of experience and/or skills
- Participating in any sort of scam to secure payment
Any account determined to be engaging in any of this activity may be subject to suspension or removal from the platform.
Job Posting Rules
In order to keep the marketplace safe and professional, every job listing posted on the Jobrope platform will adhere to the rules outlined below.
Jobs Must Be Real Employment Opportunities
Any job listed on Jobrope must be an opportunity to gain legitimate employment. Fake or spam postings will not be tolerated.
Job Opportunities Must Have Clear Descriptions
All job postings must clearly define the following:
- Job responsibilities and/or duties
- Minimum skill levels and qualifications
- Location of position (telecommute vs in-location)
- Rate of pay and/or benefits (if applicable)
When all aspects of a position are clearly outlined, applicants will have enough information regarding the position to know whether or not to apply.
Job Title Must Accurately Reflect the Job Position
The title of a job should represent its nature. Titles that inaccurately represent the position to attract more applicants are strictly prohibited.
No Money May Be Requested from Job Candidates
Employers must never ask candidates to pay to submit their application, to receive job-related training, or for recruitment assistance.
Job Listings Must Comply with All Applicable Employment Laws
All job postings must comply with employment laws, rules, and regulations governing locations of employment.
No Prohibited Content can Be Included in Job Listings
Job postings must not contain:
- Illegal job postings
- Pornography or explicit sexual content
- Pyramid schemes
- Multi-level marketing fraud
Jobrope reserves the right to:
- Suspend user accounts that violate the privacy policy
- Edit user-created job postings
- Remove inappropriate job postings
