At JobRope (https://www.jobrope.com/), we provide a professional recruitment platform, a freelance marketplace, and premium service packages. This policy applies to all incoming package purchases and client deposit transactions processed securely via PayPal, as well as outgoing project payouts disbursed to freelancers via PayPal. Because our products consist of digital “credits” (Credit-Based Listings), access-based services, and milestone-based freelance funds, the following terms apply:
1. Service Categories
Our refund rules are categorized by the specific service package purchased on our platform:
- Job Posting Packages: Digital credits used by employers to post employment vacancies.
- Task Posting Packages: Digital credits used by clients to list freelance projects or micro-tasks.
- Profile Listings: Premium access to our talent database or tools to feature a freelance profile for enhanced employer visibility.
2. Shipping & Delivery of Services
As JobRope provides exclusively digital products and software services, no physical shipping or handling is required. All purchased credits, job listings, and premium features are credited to the user’s account dashboard immediately (typically within minutes) after a successful PayPal transaction.
The primary transaction currency of our platform is United States Dollars (USD). If your local credit card, debit card, or funding source uses a different currency (such as INR or EUR), the final charged amount will be calculated based on the real-time currency conversion rates utilized by PayPal or your individual card issuer at the moment of checkout. JobRope is not responsible for any additional foreign transaction fees or conversion markups applied by your local banking institution.
3. Refund Eligibility (The “Zero-Usage” Rule)
To prevent service abuse while protecting legitimate customers, refunds for digital packages are only issued under these specific conditions:
- Unused Packages: You may request a full refund within 7 days of your purchase, provided the digital package remains entirely unused. Once a single job is posted, a freelance task is listed, or a candidate profile is unlocked, the package is considered “activated” and is strictly non-refundable.
- Duplicate Payments: If a technical glitch causes a transaction to process twice for the identical package or credit amount.
- Technical Delivery Failure: If a successfully purchased package fails to appear in your account dashboard within 48 hours due to a technical error and our internal development team cannot manually provision it for you.
Non-Refundable Scenarios:
- Partial usage of any digital package (for example, utilizing 1 out of 5 purchased job credits).
- Failure to find a suitable employee, contractor, or freelancer for your listed vacancy (as payment is for the advertising space/listing access, not a guaranteed hire).
- Account suspension resulting from explicit violations of our platform’s Terms of Service or Community Standards (such as posting scam listings or fake jobs).
- Disbursed Freelancer Funds: Once a milestone or task is marked as completed by the client and the funds have been transferred to the freelancer’s PayPal account, those funds are strictly non-refundable and cannot be reversed by JobRope.
4. International Payment & PayPal Protocols
In compliance with international banking standards and PayPal processing guidelines:
- Original Source Only: Refunds for eligible digital packages or unreleased project balances can only be sent back to the original funding source (the specific credit card, debit card, or PayPal account account) used to make the initial payment. We cannot under any circumstances issue a refund to a different bank account, a different card, or via direct wire transfer.
- Currency Exchange Fluctuations: All refunds are initiated in the original transaction currency (USD). JobRope is not liable or responsible for any financial discrepancies or losses caused by fluctuations in global currency exchange rates between the date of the initial purchase and the date the refund settles.
- PayPal Payout Finality: Funds disbursed out of the marketplace into a freelancer’s personal PayPal account are subject to PayPal’s global user agreements. JobRope cannot forcefully reverse, chargeback, or recall a PayPal payout once the transfer is executed. Any disputes regarding freelance work quality must be initiated via our platform’s formal Dispute Resolution process before project funds are approved for release.
5. Failed Transactions (Amount Debited)
If an attempted purchase is unsuccessful on JobRope (marked as “Failed” or “Dropped” on your dashboard) but you notice that the money was debited from your personal card or bank account:
- Automated Reconciliation: This generally happens due to a momentary communication timeout between your local bank’s server and PayPal’s global processing network. In most cases, the banking system detects this incomplete handoff and triggers an automated reversal to return the funds to your account within 24 to 48 hours.
- Wait Period: We strongly advise users to wait 48 hours before attempting a second payment for the exact same package to prevent double-billing.
- Manual Assistance: If the debited amount is not automatically credited back to your original payment source within 7 business days, please email payments@jobrope.com with your official Bank Reference ID, transaction date, and a screenshot of the debit notification so we can check our backend ledger.
6. Refund Timeline
- Internal Review: Once a refund request is received, our compliance team takes 3 to 5 business days to verify account logs and ensure zero usage of the digital credits.
- Bank Processing Speed: Once JobRope approves and triggers a refund inside PayPal, it typically takes 7 to 15 business days for the funds to reflect back on your financial statement. This timeframe depends strictly on your local bank’s cross-border payment processing systems.
7. Dispute Resolution & Fair Usage
We are fully committed to resolving customer issues fairly, transparently, and quickly. We kindly request that you contact payments@jobrope.com directly to resolve any payment discrepancy before filing an official dispute or chargeback with your credit card company or bank.
Please note that JobRope monitors account activity for “Friendly Fraud” (the intentional opening of a payment dispute after digital services or listings have already been successfully consumed). In cases of suspected fraudulent disputes, JobRope reserves the right to terminate account access, remove all active job listings, and submit clear digital platform usage logs to PayPal and relevant credit agencies to protect our marketplace ecosystem.
